Opera Contemporary Returns to the Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai

Bolstered by a year full of important achievements and changes, Opera Contemporary returns to the Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai. The trade show, scheduled to take place from 20 to 22 November at the SEC (Shanghai Exhibition Center), welcomes this Italian brand, now getting ready to celebrate its ten year anniversary in 2020.
More than 120 exhibitors will be representing the strong bond that unites China and Italy, both rich in ancient culture and sensitive to qualities like beauty, excellence, and creativity. The objective is to create professional relationships that benefit each country.
For the occasion, Opera Contemporary is putting together a sophisticated stand, enhanced by the characteristic contrasting textures of the brand’s new collections, designed by the Castello Lagravinese studio. Three environments will be expressing the company’s artisan savoir-faire, incorporating both luxurious comfort and functionality. The living room, dining room, and bedroom areas maintain an exclusive and modern allure that emerges in every meticulous detail.
The allure of the maple frisé finish permeates the Oliver dining table, an object characterised by sculptural appeal and structural symmetry. The base is made up of elegant wooden pillars – with polished brass inserts – arranged in a curve, while sophisticated contrasts between wood and marble embellish the rounded top. The stylishly simple Stacy and Hilary chairs are arranged around the table.
In an intimate corner dedicated to relaxation, we find the simple and sinuous contours of the Callas armchair and the sculptural lineaments of the Doris collection, represented by a sophisticated bar upholstered in silk. The Gabriel coffee table, with its lively material contrasts, ties the space together.
The impeccable linear precision of the Cosmo collection infuses the living area with an elegant customised quality. The leitmotiv of the collection are the couture details which imbue the space, dedicated to moments of conviviality, with allure and exalt the lithe silhouettes of the chairs, combining functionality and elegant appeal. The modular sofa, available in various configurations, and the small armchair with its luxurious contours, exemplify Opera Contemporary’s modern style.
The brand’s sophisticated coffee tables punctuate the space and provide functional points for resting objects. Among these are the Brian, Cyrano, Margot, and Ludmilla collections.

The practical and sleek entertainment unit from the Doris collection features a top in Arabescato Vagli marble.

The elegant focal point of the bedroom area is the Sheila bed, characterised by a headboard made up of two overlapping panels and a delicate harmony of colours and materials. Rigorous aesthetic and functional principles interact with exquisite sartorial details: diamond quilting adorns the headboard while the base displays warm metallic accents.
The fil rouge tying together the various environments in the display is the Doris collection, here represented by two charming night stands and a vanity with Arabescato Vagli marble top and round mirror.
Two small Sally armchairs, with rich upholstery, create a sitting area in the bedroom, in which to read, meditate, or relax in private.

The Chinese market, accessed through various sales outlets, is one of the most important for Opera Contemporary. For several years now, the Italian brand’s sartorial vocation and sophistication have been winning over Chinese clientele with striking products of high aesthetic value. Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai, now in its fourth edition, is the stage which the brand has chosen for introducing the Chinese public to new and iconic pieces from its bespoke production.
